Our Program

At Little Buddhas Truckee, we emphasize learning through play, outdoor exploration, nature time, Spanish circle time, mindfulness, and friendship-building activities. Our curriculum supports the development of essential prekindergarten skills and nurtures a strong classroom community that prepares children for the various kindergarten programs in the area.

We integrate many principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach into our daily instruction, including following the child's interests and exploring those topics through age-appropriate lessons and hands-on experiences.

Abbie Lara, the founder of Little Buddhas Truckee, has been part of the Reno-Tahoe community since 2007. With a background as a Credentialed Elementary Teacher, Licensed Center Director/Owner of Conecta Preschool, Parent Coach, and Toddler Class Teacher, she is also a dedicated mother. Abbie is passionate about supporting both parents and children during these formative early years, offering guidance through parent coaching and delivering impactful early childhood education.
